Large woolen poncho.
Can be used as a blanket, folded into a sleeping pad, worn folded with a belt to form a vest, or unfolded with a belt to make a jacket. Without a belt is a poncho for lounging and sleeping. On it's own it's a blanket with the hood designed so as not to be a cold draft opening.
Worn in combination with a sheepskin bedroll poncho this is an excellent bedding system that can also be worn and used in a variety of ways.
I make these based on material availability.
In this batch:
The Blue is a very soft flannel at approximately 400GSM. Wool flannel can pill at first, but brushes out in the first few wears.
The Mustard is a fine grade melton at approximately 450GSM. It is soft to touch and densely woven.
The Burgundy is another fine grade melton at approximately 450GSM. It is also soft to touch and densely woven.
The Black is a fine grade knitted and “boiled wool” at approximately 500GSM. It is finely knitted rather than woven, then fulled in similar ways to melton. It appears the same as melton, but has the elasticity of knit.
The Grey is a fine grade wool weave that has been lightly fulled at approximately 350GSM. It is the lighter weight of this batch.
